Your Meeting Checklist

The Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of orthopaedic professionals in the country. It offers unparalleled learning opportunities across all orthopaedic specialties and topics. It also gives attendees the chance to make new connections, learn about new products, and catch up with colleagues. To ensure you take advantage of all the Annual Meeting has to offer, we've created this convenient checklist to help you plan your experience before arriving in Orlando.

Before the Meeting

  • Register for the Annual Meeting and ensure your registration includes the OnDemand online library that gives you access to session videos that you can watch anytime, anywhere
  • Submit your ADA requests for the Annual Meeting
  • Book your housing
  • Make your travel arrangements
  • Check out VisitOrlando to help you plan family and social activities
  • Download the My Academy app to your mobile device
  • Review the Preliminary Program to plan your schedule
  • Print your handouts if you prefer having hard copies (electronic handouts are available on the My Academy app)

Upon Arrival

  • Check-in at Registration as soon as you arrive to collect your event tickets and to maximize the number of CME credits you will be eligible to earn
  • Take note of the overall schedule for the meeting
  • Familiarize yourself with the layout of the Convention Center using the map in the My Academy app and note the location of the AAOS Headquarters Office and additional on-site resources

Education Sessions

  • Refer to "My Agenda" in the My Academy app to keep you on schedule for your education sessions
  • Check out the wide range of learning opportunities available to you -- from career development courses and paper presentations to Flash Five and Showdown sessions
  • Complete the evaluation forms on the My Academy app for the ICL, Symposia and Poster Tours you attend

  • Browse the Poster Exhibits
  • Find answers to any questions about your Academy membership
  • Watch surgical technique videos in the Orthopaedic Video Theater -- or watch them anytime as a free member benefit 
  • Discover new educational resources at the Online Learning Center with AAOS staff on-hand to guide you through the many opportunities 
  • Stop by the Guest Nation booth to learn more about our international guest nation -- Chile

Visit the Exhibit Hall

  • Discover and compare products and services from the more than 700 companies displaying at the Exhibit Hall
  • Attend product demonstrations and other activities, including TechTalks, Ask an Expert, and Innovation Theater
