Society Management Services (SMS) builds and maintains independent, healthy, and vibrant organizations by providing a wide and varied range of services to meet the needs and the goals of each organization. SMS provides strategic direction, leadership management, membership development, meetings management, financial management, integrated communications, and daily administration. 

Societies value the advantage and the opportunities that their presence under the AAOS roof brings. Department staff members are able to capitalize on the expertise of AAOS staff in areas such as computer technology, international mailings, and survey design and analysis.
